Hometown Recruiting is assisting a growing law firm seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to serve clients throughout Wake, Chatham, Orange, and Durham counties.
This opportunity is for an attorney who wants more than a place to manage cases and meet billable expectations. It is an opportunity to join a team where mentorship continues beyond the early stages of a legal career, attorneys collaborate rather than operate in silos, and client service is grounded in responsiveness, practical guidance, and thoughtful resolution.
The ideal candidate brings at least five years of North Carolina family law litigation experience, sound legal judgment, and a sincere commitment to helping clients move through challenging circumstances with clarity and confidence.
What Makes This Opportunity DifferentExperienced attorneys still deserve opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and feel supported.
This firm is known for creating an environment where attorneys share knowledge, collaborate on strategy, and recognize that strong client outcomes are supported by a strong internal team. You will have the independence to lead your matters while also having access to mentorship, perspective, and support when complex issues arise.
The goal is not conflict for the sake of conflict. The firm takes a resolution-focused approach—helping clients understand their options, make informed decisions, and pursue a path that reflects their priorities while remaining fully prepared to advocate in court when necessary.
The Impact You’ll MakeAs a Family Law Attorney, you will guide clients through some of the most personal and consequential moments of their lives. You will combine skilled advocacy with practical counsel, helping clients understand both the legal process and the decisions before them.

What You’ll DoManage family law matters from initial consultation through negotiation, mediation, hearing, and trial
Represent clients in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and related family law issues

Courtroom experience handling hearings, motions, and trials
Strong knowledge of North Carolina family law statutes, procedures, and local court practices
