About the Role:
Baird's Equity Capital Markets group includes more than 500 professionals in research, institutional sales and trading, and investment banking. Our dedicated analyst teams provide comprehensive, award-winning coverage of over 700+ stocks.
The Equity Research Analyst plays an integral role in the research process through providing comprehensive industry and company coverage for both institutional and individual clients. Our Analysts have the opportunity to work with nationally recognized Senior Analysts in a department that has an international reputation for excellence.
Please note: applications are for a full-time Equity Research Analyst role with a start date of Summer 2027. Only December 2026 and Spring 2027 graduates will be considered. Opportunities are available in Milwaukee, WI.
The Impact You'll Make:
  • Play an integral role in the research process
  • Join a focused industry group and work closely with the Senior Analyst responsible for that sector
  • Provide quantitative support for industry- and company-specific research and assist in the preparation of financial models, written reports, and field research
  • Work in teams to cover groups of 15+ stocks
  • Collect industry data and provide a level of expertise in a sector that helps clients to decide where to invest
  • Develop proprietary research and distribute it to clients
  • Write reports and communicate findings
  • Attend company-sponsored conferences
  • Interact with covered company management (CEOs, CFOs)
  • Discuss research findings with Sales & Trading associates and institutional clients (e.g., analysts and portfolio managers at top mutual funds and hedge funds)

What You'll Bring to Baird:
  • Bachelor's degree required, graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Finance/Accounting degree strongly preferred
  • Candidates must have a track record of proven academic excellence
  • Possess a passion for the markets
  • Have the ability to work within a team and on a self-directed basis
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Research Analysts are expected to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
