Position Summary
This postdoctoral position will conduct research focused on the development, fabrication, and characterization of electrochemical biosensors for biomedical applications. The candidate will work on biosensor design, electrode fabrication, surface modification, and electrochemical testing, with an emphasis on potentiometric and chronoamperometric sensing platforms. The candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including data scientists, molecular engineers, and electrochemists. The long-term goal of the work is to advance robust, scalable, and commercially translatable biosensor technologies. The candidate will collaborate with academic, clinical, and/or industry partners to meet project milestones.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD or MD.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with electrochemical enzymatic electrochemical biosensor development and characterization. Proficiency with electrochemical techniques such as potentiometry, chronoamperometry, cyclic voltammetry, and/or related methods. Familiarity with enzyme electrode fabrication, surface modification, and analytical assay development. Strong experimental design, data analysis, communication, and scientific writing skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Hands-on experience with electrochemical biosensor platforms, including gold disk electrode fabrication, and biofunctionalization strategies.
Experience with potentiometric sensors, amperometric enzyme-based sensors, chronoamperometric assay development, reference electrode integration, and sensor calibration in biological or complex media is highly desirable.
Candidates with experience in time-series machine learning, advanced data analytics, and programming (Python) are especially encouraged to apply.
