Job Description

Job Summary:
Support bioassay testing and equipment maintenance while ensuring compliance, documentation accuracy, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lab Operations:
    Perform bioassays, cell passages, media/buffer prep, equipment calibrations, and sanitization.
    Maintain lab cleanliness and organization.

  • Documentation & Compliance:
    Enter and verify data, review qualification protocols and logbook entries, and perform second-person verification.
    Support deviation investigations and change controls.

  • Technical Support:
    Troubleshoot instrument-related issues and act as a technical resource for equipment.
    Interact with customers, vendors, and support groups to resolve qualification and operational issues.

  • Team Leadership:
    Coach and develop team members, monitor workflow to meet turnaround times (TAT), conduct performance reviews, and manage training and succession planning.

  • Collaboration & Strategy:
    Work closely with leadership and clients to implement business directives and drive operational improvements.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in physical sciences (e.g., chemistry, physics) or related field
    4+ years of relevant lab experience (bioassays, cell passages, media/buffer prep) 

  • Work Authorization:
    Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or need for sponsorship.

  • Technical & Scientific Skills:
    Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
    Ability to learn new techniques, troubleshoot instruments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Experience with equipment qualification, maintenance, and documentation.

  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    Proven leadership with a focus on team development, engagement, morale, and retention.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Communication & Work Style:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse skill levels.

Additional Information
  •  Position is Thursday to Monday 10:00 am- 6:00 pm. Overtime as needed.  
  • May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
