HELM Solutions is currently in search of an experienced individual with an outgoing, entrepreneurial spirit who can help lead a team towards profitability and performance as well as enhance customer relationships. The Construction Solar Project Manager will effectively engage with a project management team on all aspects of the construction project, pre-construction, design, permitting, cost, material, schedule, subcontractors, changes, and quality. The Construction Solar Project Manager will be responsible for overall coordination during the design and permitting phase to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
We are seeking a candidate for this role that is willing to work on out-of-state projects. Per diem for meals and lodging, an increased base salary, and a stipend to travel home will be provided.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of solar power construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors throughout all project phases.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance to optimize cost-efficiency and profitability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to keep them informed of project progress, milestones, and any relevant issues.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety among project team members.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, financial reports, and documentation for permits and approvals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and innovation to enhance project delivery and overall operational efficiency.

Required Skills

Requirements:

  • Proven Five years (5) or more of experience in project management, specifically in solar power construction or renewable energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of solar power systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
