Job description

The hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full-time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This job includes research as well as development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro-mechanical architecture for both prototype designs as well as production intent designs for autonomous vehicles.

Role responsibilities include:
-Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers
-Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN(J1939, CANOpen) SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232.
-Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture
-Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles
-Design of safety critical system elements
-Verification and Validation of electrical systems
-Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production
-PCB layout, schematic design

Qualifications
-Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
-Passionate about self-driving vehicles
-Excellent communication skills
-Experience with electrical drawings and parts management
-Experience with prototyping of boards

Preferred
-10+ years of work experience
-Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types
-Experience with safety critical design work
-Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus
-Experience with Verification and Validation processes
