Job description

Edgebanding Offloader
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Edgebanding Offloader to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for staging materials from the saws to the edgebanders, keeping production flowing efficiently, and ensuring finished products are delivered through the appropriate production path in the correct sequence. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to safety, quality, and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Stage parts from the saws to the designated edgebander in the proper sequence.
  • Ensure edgebanding machines remain supplied with material to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Clear finished materials from the edgebander line and deliver products to the next process or customer according to required sequencing.
  • Complete daily scheduled work within established production timeframes.
  • Follow all work center procedures, production standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support team productivity goals and contribute to continuous workflow improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to safely and physically perform daily production tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to distinguish between different wood species.
  • Ability to distinguish between different laminate paper colors.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to:
    • Read and interpret measuring tapes.
    • Use calipers.
    • Work with metric measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet hourly production goals and daily responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant manufacturing or production experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Forklift operating experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle materials in a production setting.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials as required by job duties.

Working Conditions
This position is performed in a manufacturing facility and may involve:
  • Exposure to production equipment and machinery.
  • Heavy lifting and repetitive motion activities.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
    • Safety glasses
    • Hearing protection
    • Respirators, when required
