Job description

Import/Wholesale Distributor is looking for a Class-B CDL Delivery Driver to join its team.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:

  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and good time management skills.
  • Assist warehouse team and customers with the loading and unloading of materials.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of deliveries.
  • Full-time schedule with the ability to work occasional longer shifts and overnight travel as needed.
  • Follow federal and company safety procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
  • Demonstrate proper driving habits.
  • Maintain proper paperwork and accurate electronic logbook.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Driving and operating a variety of commercial vehicles.
  • Operate forklift and other hand tools.
  • Basic math and organization skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Familiarity with primary roads and neighborhoods and ability to use GPS navigational devices.
  • Able to safely perform manual physical tasks such as lift 40-60 pounds on daily basis; occasionally lift 80-100 pounds.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Education and/or Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid and current state driver’s license - CDL Class B with air brakes.
  • Two (2) or more years previous commercial driving experience.
  • Maintain a current and valid DOT physical card.
  • Must pass DOT drug test
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle report
  • Must provide valid Medical Card
  • Must pass basic physical test
  • Must provide valid CDL
  • Forklift experience; Certified Forklift Operator preferred.
