As a Security Officer Full Time Door Control in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with site personnel. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, process visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and applicable response personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
