Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager – SharePoint and Power Platform Operations Manager to lead operations, administration, governance, maintenance, and support activities for enterprise collaboration and Microsoft Power Platform environments supporting a federal customer. The successful candidate will oversee platform administration, operational support, service delivery, security compliance, help desk operations, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives across SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

This role serves as a key operational lead responsible for ensuring platform availability, performance, governance, security compliance, user support, and delivery of high-quality services in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Collaboration Platform Administration & Operations

  • Lead daily operations, administration, governance, maintenance, monitoring, and support of SharePoint On-Premises, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and Microsoft Power Platform environments.
  • Administer SharePoint Server On-Premises environments, including Central Administration, PowerShell scripting, backup and recovery operations, cumulative update (CU) deployment and maintenance, and platform health monitoring.
  • Administer SharePoint Online tenant environments, including site lifecycle management, external sharing governance, App Catalog administration, and SharePoint migrations utilizing SPMT or equivalent migration tools.
  • Support administration, optimization, monitoring, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 cloud services and related collaboration technologies.

Azure Administration & Integration Support

  • Configure, administer, and maintain Azure API Management and Azure Application Gateway services.
  • Manage API policies, versioning, developer portal documentation, monitoring, analytics, and integration support activities.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, and operational health while identifying opportunities for service improvements and optimization.

Power Platform Administration & Governance

  • Administer Microsoft Power Platform environments through the Power Platform Admin Center.
  • Configure and maintain environment strategies across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Manage security roles, permissions, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, governance controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize the Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit.
  • Monitor auditing, usage metrics, performance analytics, and platform adoption.
  • Support citizen developer programs, governance initiatives, solution reviews, and shared governance frameworks.

Operations, Maintenance & Service Delivery

  • Monitor application availability, reliability, capacity, and performance across supported platforms and services.
  • Manage software licensing, subscriptions, service agreements, renewals, and procurement-related activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational documentation, knowledge base articles, and support materials.
  • Support platform lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, enhancements, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze operational metrics and service performance data to identify trends and drive operational excellence.

Change, Configuration & Lifecycle Management

  • Enforce change management and configuration management processes and standards.
  • Support release management, deployment planning, operational readiness reviews, and platform governance activities.
  • Maintain system inventories, configuration documentation, operational records, and technical documentation repositories.
  • Support source control, configuration baselines, and lifecycle management activities across supported environments.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support Federal security, privacy, governance, FISMA compliance, and Authority to Operate (ATO) maintenance activities.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, security reviews, and compliance audits.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain platform-level security controls and access management processes.
  • Support POA&M activities, audit responses, compliance reporting, and security documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with security stakeholders to ensure compliance with NIH, HHS, NIAID, and Federal cybersecurity requirements.

Help Desk & Customer Support

  • Provide and oversee Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer support services through in-person, phone, and remote screen-sharing support channels.
  • Manage and document incidents, service requests, and operational issues using ServiceNow or other approved IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • Analyze help desk metrics, incident trends, service requests, and customer feedback to improve service delivery and user experience.
  • Coordinate issue resolution efforts across technical teams and stakeholders.

Program Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate operational support activities across technical teams, contractors, government stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Manage service delivery performance, operational metrics, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation activities.
  • Develop operational reports, dashboards, management briefings, SOPs, and executive-level communications.
  • Support program management reporting, portfolio reviews, risk management activities, and operational governance initiatives.
  • Drive process improvement, service optimization, platform adoption, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to ensure successful platform operations, user adoption, and mission support objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience managing enterprise collaboration platforms, Microsoft 365 environments, Power Platform solutions, or related IT operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical operations teams supporting enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Experience supporting Federal Government IT environments preferred.

Required Certifications (One Required)

Candidates must possess and maintain at least one of the following active Microsoft certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Information Technology, or a related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other Federal civilian agencies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • PMP, ITIL, Security+, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise collaboration or low-code/no-code platforms in regulated environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 annual salary benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
