Inpatient Acute Psychiatry Physician Opportunity

Omaha VA Medical Center | Omaha, Nebraska

Are you an experienced psychiatrist ready to take the next step in your career, develop future physicians, and become a recognized leader in academic psychiatry?

The Omaha VA Medical Center is seeking a talented Inpatient Acute Care Psychiatrist to join an outstanding multidisciplinary team dedicated to serving America's Veterans. This is an exceptional opportunity for a psychiatrist who is at least five years beyond residency training and is looking to make a lasting impact through clinical excellence, teaching, mentorship, and leadership.

Meaningful Clinical Practice

  • Full-time, onsite inpatient psychiatry position
  • Provide care within our Acute Psychiatry service and support inpatient and emergency department psychiatric needs
  • Manage a patient census of approximately 8–12 patients daily

  • Shared call schedule of approximately one week per quarter (4 weeks annually)

Academic & Teaching Environment

  • Work alongside Psychiatry Residents on both services
