Hillcrest Convalescent Center - A top-rated skilled nursing facility is looking for a Full Time Registered Dietitian. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, along with a passion for caring. As the Dietitian, you will be responsible for evaluating and recommending diet changes and other adjustments to nutritional therapy as needed to ensure the best nutritional care possible under physician approval and diet restrictions. You will participate in the development of comprehensive care plans and work with the Careplan Coordinator to ensure compliance to all state and federal requirements, by providing available nutritional information and update as appropriate/needed If you are a Registered Dietitian and are longing for a stable, honest, safe, great place to work, this job is for you!
Job Duties Include:
  • Evaluate and assess each new resident for nutritional status, current nutritional therapies, diet history and food preferences. All information related to food preferences and other food service issues are to be communicated promptly to DFS or appropriate dietary personnel.
  • Evaluate and recommend diet changes and other adjustments to nutritional therapy as needed to ensure the best nutritional care possible under physician approval and diet restrictions.
  • Participate in discharge planning. Conduct all nutritional/dietary education to residents and their families as needed. When possible, involve families on nutritional plans and goals for resident as deemed appropriate per resident confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a baccalaureate degree in dietetics or related field. Must be a registered Dietitian and maintain a current license as required by law.
  • Position requires at least two years of clinical experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Other experience may be requested/required per Administrator or appointed personnel hiring for this position.
