Job description

Description

The Mammography Tech II reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs screening and diagnostic breast health center procedures, including mammography, dexa scan.
  • Assists with stereotactic breast biopsies and breast needle localizations.
  • Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their breast imaging needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • One year of hospital-based mammography, DEXA and biopsy experience
  • High school graduate.
  • Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiological Technology, college or hospital affiliated.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and MQSA/ACR certified.
  • Licensed in the State of Illinois to practice and administer radiation.
  • IEMA licensure (formerly IDNS).
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to operate DEXA and mammography equipment, including stereotactic biopsy machine and devices
  • Licensure: CERT BLS, LIC IDNS, REG ARRT

Preferred:

  • Two years mammography experience
  • BS degree
  • Additional languages
