We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate medical care and support for individuals in our mental health and/or substance abuse treatment facility. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN or physician, administering medications, monitoring client health, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including health monitoring and medication administration.
  • Conduct routine assessments of clients’ physical and mental health conditions.
  • Assist with withdrawal management and monitor symptoms in clients undergoing detox (if applicable).
  • Document patient progress, medication administration, and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including RNs, physicians, therapists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate clients and families on medications, treatment plans, and overall health and wellness.
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control procedures, and state and federal healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid LPN license in the State of Ohio (required).
  • Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Experience in mental health, substance abuse, or behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and medication management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a detox, psychiatric, or residential treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use treatment protocols.
