Job description

Our customer, in Rochester, NY, is seeking an Enterprise Data Analytics Lead. This is 6 month contract which will then convert to a full time employee. This role requires someone to work onsite 5 days/wk. Candidates must also work on a W2 basis. 1099 and Corp to Corp cannot be considered for this role.

The Enterprise Data & Analytics Lead is responsible for the governance, integrity, quality, and lifecycle management of the organization’s master data across key domains. This role establishes data standards, policies, and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across enterprise systems.

The Enterprise Data & Analytics Lead partners cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Operations, HR, Compliance, and executive leadership to ensure that master data and foundational datasets support operational efficiency, trusted reporting and analytics, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.

This role is expected to evolve over time and may assume people-management responsibilities as the enterprise data and analytics function matures.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).

• Experience with MDM platforms and data quality tools.

• Advanced Excel and familiarity with SQL or BI tools preferred.

• Understanding of system integrations and data architecture concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Detail-oriented with strong process mindset.

• Ability to influence without direct authority.

• Strong project management skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Management, Finance, or related field.

• 5–8+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, analytics enablement, ERP/CRM systems, or related roles.

• Experience with data quality tools and/or structured MDM processes (platform experience a plus).

• Strong understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.).

• Experience working in regulated or audit-driven environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building or formalizing a data governance program.

Experience with donor management, fundraising, nonprofit, healthcare, or membership-based organizations.

Power BI experience.

SQL experience and understanding of relational databases.

Experience supporting enterprise system implementations or data migrations.

Familiarity with Microsoft-based data and reporting technologies.

Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and best practices.
