As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Tigard, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and team members while using technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations accurately while maintaining a professional presence for the public and property personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
