Job Title

Procurement Director

Job Summary

The Procurement Director is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. This role ensures cost-effective procurement practices while maintaining quality standards, supplier relationships, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Procurement Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support operational and strategic business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers and vendors.
  • Obtain and analyze quotations, proposals, and bids.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and service agreements.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor order fulfillment.
  • Ensure timely procurement of goods and services to support business operations.
Supplier Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regarding quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and escalations.
  • Conduct periodic supplier reviews and performance assessments.
Cost Optimization
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce procurement expenses.
  • Perform market research and bench-marking to ensure competitive pricing.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
  • Support inventory management and demand planning activities.
  • Participate in procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
  • 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) preferred.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
