Job description

The Manager of Lead Annual Giving at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation is responsible for the engagement, stewardship, and day-to-day management of Lead Annual Giving donors contributing $1,000-$9,999 annually (one-time or cumulative) who are not assigned to a relationship manager. This role operates under the direction of the Associate Director of Lead Annual Giving and executes overall program strategy through timely outreach, consistent stewardship, and meaningful donor engagement, supporting the growth and retention of the Lead Annual Giving donor audience.
The Manager of Lead Annual Giving partners closely with Marketing and Donor Relations to support the execution of the Foundation's recurring donor program, represents the Foundation at donor-facing events, and helps deliver consistent, high-quality donor experiences. This role also manages crowdfunding pages, excluding Courage Classic.
In collaboration with Marketing, Donor Relations Prospect Development, Family Giving, and information Technology, the Manager supports coordinated program initiatives and ongoing growth. The Manager of Lead Annual Giving will report to the Associate Director of Lead Annual Giving at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation.

Duties & Responsibilities
Multi-Channel Donor Engagement & Stewardship
• Serve as primary Foundation contact for unassigned Lead Annual Giving donors ($1K-$9,999)
• Execute proactive stewardship via phone, written correspondence and email to renew, retain, and upgrade donors
• Provide meaningful engagement opportunities that demonstrate the impact of giving
• Delivering timely stewardship aligned to donor interests and giving behavior
• Maintain complete and accurate constituent records in CRM
Program Management (Unassigned Donors)
• Manage a high-volume pool of unassigned Lead Annual Giving donors, ensuring consistent and scalable engagement
• Execute program strategies to keep donors actively engaged, even when not showing immediate Major Gift potential
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align outreach with Marketing and stewardship strategies
Crowdfunding & Recurring Gift Management
• Partner with Associate Director to set up, monitor and report on donors, patient ambassador and other crowdfunding pages
• Serve as primary relationship manager for unassigned recurring donors
• Track participation and engagement to inform ongoing strategy
Donor Experience & Event Staffing
• Represent the Foundation at group donor events and meetings, including those involving prospects in major gift portfolios
• Host check presentations and hospital tour for annual and crowdfunding donors
• Deliver a high-quality, mission-centered donor experience that strengthens long-term engagement
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degrees: BA/BS degree required. No equivalency.
  • Experience: The Manager of Lead Annual Giving will have at least 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience as an individual contributor role in fundraising, annual giving, donor relations development, advancement, nonprofit management, or customer relationship management and be able to demonstrate and apply the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to this role:
    • Ability to independently manage a large volume of donors (400-1,000+ constituents).
    • Strong relationship building and donor service orientation.
    • Ability to identify donor interest and philanthropic capacity indicators.
    • Comfort making outbound stewardship and renewal calls.
    • Data-driven decision-making and performance tracking.
    • Self-directed project management and execution.
    • Ability to represent the organization professionally with donors and community stakeholders.
    • Experience supporting peer-to-peer fundraising, crowdfunding, or community fundraising campaigns.
    • Attending donor events, stewardship activities, tours, or recognition experiences.
    • Experience working with Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar fundraising databases.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute engagement, marketing, stewardship, or fundraising initiatives.
    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in a healthcare, hospital foundation, children's charity, or mission-driven nonprofit environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Direct experience managing donors in the $1,000-$10,000 giving range or similar mid-level donor programs.
    • Experience planning and staffing donor events, stewardship activities, tours, or recognition experiences.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $70,200.00 to $95,500.00
