Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Hello, we're Augeo - we are a global leader in enterprise-level engagement and loyalty platform technology, delivering compelling experiences and fostering meaningful connections for employees, consumers, members, and channel partners across many industries and verticals. We serve hundreds of clients, including 70+ Fortune 500 companies, representing millions of end users. We are thought leaders and disruptors who think differently and creatively, built by entrepreneurs, operators, and innovators.
At Augeo, we're passionate about providing an inclusive workplace that values diversity and our sustainability initiatives. Everyone is welcome - our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic whole selves to work. Be you, reach your full potential.
We work hard, we play hard and most importantly we care to our CORE about our teams, each other and we over communicate around everything...especially while we are all connected virtually.
Summary
We're at a pivotal moment in our Experience division. Our creative work is scaling fast - in volume, complexity, and visibility - and we're ready for a hands-on creative leader who wants real ownership. This role is for someone who doesn't just talk about great ideas, but builds them, sharpens them, and sees them through.
As Creative Director, you'll set the creative bar across design and content, lead concepting for our most important programs, and be the creative voice our clients trust. You'll work alongside a talented internal team and play a defining role in where our creative work goes next. This is not a "sit above the work" role. This is a player-coach Creative Director role.
What You'll Own
Creative Vision & Concept Leadership
  • Lead concepting and define the look and feel for major Experience programs
  • Develop the core creative idea, experience narrative, and storytelling approach
  • Ensure design and content work together as a cohesive, intentional experience
  • Shape how our creative work evolves as programs and client needs grow
  • Direct the creative arc and experience narrative during the RFP and proposal process, ensuring ideas are cohesive, compelling, and strategically aligned to client goals
  • Guide and oversee how creative concepts translate into production, including stage design, environments and speaker experience, ensuring the final execution delivers on the intended vision

Hands-On Art Direction & Design
  • Personally art direct and design key moments, especially on high-visibility work
  • Review and elevate creative across all touchpoints - visual, environmental, and digital
  • Maintain an uncompromising bar for craft, clarity, and execution

Content Strategy & Leadership
  • Oversee and guide the content team to ensure messaging, storytelling, and tone align with the creative vision
  • Set direction for experiential content including messaging frameworks, scripts, speaker content, and supporting materials
  • Review and elevate content at key milestones to ensure clarity, consistency, and impact
  • Partner closely with content leaders to balance creativity, efficiency, and scalability

Client-Facing Creative Leadership
  • Serve as the primary creative voice in client conversations
  • Present integrated creative concepts that unite design, content, and experience
  • Navigate feedback decisively while protecting creative integrity and momentum

Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Coach designers, content team members, and the Art Director in creative thinking and review
  • Help develop stronger creative judgment across both design and content disciplines
  • Create trust through clarity, consistency, and strong follow-through

Scaling Creative Quality
  • Ensure creative quality scales across design and content as volume increases
  • Partner with Ops and Account teams to unblock delivery and keep work moving
  • Bring structure where needed without slowing creativity down

Who This Role Is For
You thrive in environments that require ownership, ingenuity, and follow-through. You like being close to the work and are energized by shaping ideas across visual, verbal, and experiential dimensions. You don't need perfect clarity to move forward - you create it. You've done this before and know how to lead creative work end-to-end.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years in experiential, event, or agency-based creative roles
  • Prior experience leading both design and content within creative teams
  • A strong portfolio that shows conceptual thinking and execution
  • Proven ability to design at a high level and jump in when needed
  • Experience overseeing art and copy and bringing them together cohesively
  • Confidence leading client-facing creative conversations
  • Exceptional follow-through in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

Why You'll Love It Here
  • Real creative ownership. You won't just contribute ideas - you'll own the creative direction across design and content and see it through from concept to execution.
  • A seat at the table. Your perspective will shape how our Experience work evolves. This role has influence, trust, and visibility with clients and leadership.
  • Hands-on, high-impact work. You'll stay close to the craft, designing and directing meaningful moments rather than managing from a distance.
  • A team worth investing in. You'll work with talented designers, content partners, account planners, business development teammates, and operations partners - and you'll help raise the creative bar across the entire Experience team.
  • Momentum and growth. We're scaling quickly, which means you'll have the opportunity to build, refine, and leave your mark on how creative works here.
  • Creative challenge without chaos. You'll partner closely with Ops and Account teams so you can focus on creative leadership while still driving work forward.

Portfolio Required
Please include a portfolio showcasing experiential or event-based work. We're looking for examples that demonstrate concept development, creative leadership, and execution-ideally showing projects from brief through final experience. Portfolios should reflect hands-on creative involvement and the integration of design and content.
Location
Candidates must be based in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Wisconsin. (If you are in KS or MN, we require employees to be in office part-time. If not in either state, this position has the capacity to be remote.)
Benefits of joining team Augeo
  • We offer Medical, Dental and Vision coverage with additional perks through third party vendors offering more virtual and in person care at your fingertips (must be in select locations)
  • We offer paid Long-Term disability and Life Insurance
  • HSA/FSA plans
  • We offer varying voluntary benefits such as critical, hospital, pet coverage and much more
  • Employee benefit education, campaigns and wellness opportunities
  • 401k retirement matching and financial planning resources
  • Education reimbursement
  • Several EAP resources
  • 13 paid holidays and PTO time
  • Rewards, incentives and gamification for birthdays, Work-aversery's, professional and personal milestones, company involvement and kudos
  • Employee referral bonuses
  • Employee group opportunities
  • Fun, casual and flexible working environment that embraces the hybrid workstyle
  • Career growth opportunities
  • Summer internship program
