Registered Nurse (RN) Full Time-Days - GI Lab

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours/week; Day shift; 0730-1600
GI Lab highlights:

• The Endoscopy Lab is a fast-paced procedure-based environment specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Teamwork, flexibility, and a strong commitment into a patient-centered care are essential in this setting
Here's What You Need
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• 1 Year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program required
• GI/Endoscopy, critical care, emergency, PACU or procedural experience strongly preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
• CGRN - Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse Upon Hire Pref
What You Will Do
• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
