Job description

District Manager — Multi-Unit Automotive Service

Precision Tune Auto Care | Greenville | Full-Time Compensation + Performance Uncapped Bonus |

Read this before you apply.

We are not hiring a babysitter for [#] stores. We are hiring an operator who runs a district like they own it — who walks into a bay and knows within ten minutes whether that store is going to hit its number or make excuses.

If you manage by spreadsheet from a corner office, this isn't your job. If you're the kind of leader who builds people, sets the bar high, and takes it personally when a store underperforms — keep reading. We've been looking for you.

What you'll own

You're accountable for the P&L, the people, and the performance of every location in your district. Specifically:

  • Drive the number. Total Sale and Car Count are the scoreboard. You own both, store by store, week by week — and you know the difference between a store with a traffic problem and a store with a leadership problem.
  • Build store managers into leaders. Your job isn't to run the stores. It's to develop the people who run the stores. You coach, you correct, you develop bench strength so the district doesn't collapse the day someone quits.
  • Execute the operating system. We run on a defined service sequence and lead-measure discipline — not vibes. You'll master it, teach it, and hold the line on it in every store, every shift.
  • Win on the customer experience. Speed and price get commoditized. Hospitality doesn't. You'll drive a service standard that turns first-time customers into regulars and regulars into referrals.
  • Hire hard and hold standards. A-players make your district. C-players quietly kill it. You'll build hiring pipelines, run onboarding that sticks, and have the hard conversations most managers avoid.
Who we're looking for
  • Multi-unit operations experience — automotive service, quick lube, tire, or a service-and-labor retail environment where cars, car count, and a service bay are the game (strongly preferred).
  • A track record of turning stores around, not just holding them steady. Show us the store you inherited broken and handed off winning.
  • A developer of people first. The best DMs we've ever had measured their own success by their managers' success — not their own ego.
  • Comfort with numbers and accountability. You read a P&L, you know your KPIs cold, and you don't flinch when we ask why a store missed.
  • Grit. Early mornings, real problems, and a windshield full of miles. This is a road job, not a desk job.
What you get from us
  • A real operating playbook, not a shrug. We've built the frameworks — the service sequence, the lead measures, the district manager development system — so you're not reinventing the wheel. You get a system to execute and improve, not a mess to survive.
  • Development that doesn't stop at your title. We invest in leaders. If you want to grow past district into a bigger footprint, we want that for you too.
  • Autonomy with support. You run your district. We back you, resource you, and get out of your way — and we're in the trenches with you when it counts.
  • A culture that puts people first — and means it. Encourage honestly. Correct carefully. Listen more than you speak. Give more than expected. That's not a poster on the wall here. That's how we operate.
Compensation & benefits
  • Base salary: 70,000 - 100,000 per year
  • Performance bonus: Uncapped, tied to district results
  • Benefits: Company Paid Health / Dental / Vision / PTO
How to apply

Don't send us a resume that lists duties. Send us results. Tell us the district or store you made better and the number that proves it.
