Job description

The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a full-time regular education paraprofessional to work in our 4K Preschool rooms for the 2026-2027 school year. Paraprofessionals in the School District of Onalaska are classified as one encompassing unit of employees and are an integral part of the school system's programs. Paraprofessionals are assigned by the building administrator to many assignments which may be different in each of the schools.

Hours are 7:45am to 3:45 pm

No nights or weekends, school day only, and summer school work is available if interested.

We are seeking individuals who embody Onalaska's core values of Belonging, Engagement, Continuous Improvement, Collaboration, and Integrity.


Qualifications: A minimum of two years (48 credits) post high school education, or an associate degree preferred. If two years post high school is not achieved, applicants must have passed ParaPro Assessment or designated WorkKeys Assessments prior to employment. The WorkKeys Assessment is paid for by the district if selected for employment.
