Job description

STACKER OPERATOR
Starting at $16.63/hr no experience necessary, $17.84 with experience, Full-time, Full-time, 10pm to 6am, Sunday evening thru Friday morning with some overtime required when necessary, including weekends.
This is an entry-level hourly position with growth potential! You will be responsible for all activities associated with stacking sheets from the corrugator. This includes setup, operation, clean-up, quality checks and recommending improvements to operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work at a fast-pace set by the machine operator in order to adhere to production schedule
  • Set-up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and delivery end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques
  • Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags from production runs
  • Ensure correct bundle and unit counts
  • Stack finished boxes in accordance with factory master
  • Monitor board quality for any defects and report problems to the operator.
  • Complete all necessary reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Willingness to move up the line of progression and cross-train on other machines.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintain good housekeeping.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
  • Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
  • Product layouts and production specifications
  • Product quality specifications
  • Quality standards

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
