Davenergy Solutions is seeking a full-time Construction Manager to serve as the Ownerโ€™s Representative at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. This position supports a 36-month onsite assignment.


The Construction Manager will represent the Owner by providing onsite construction oversight, coordination, and quality assurance services for infrastructure upgrades and renovation work within an active medical campus environment.

Requirements:
  • Perform onsite inspections to verify construction work complies with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Monitor construction progress and report schedule, quality, and safety issues to the Government COR
  • Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to support timely reviews
  • Identify constructability, sequencing, and coordination issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain daily field reports, inspection logs, deficiency lists, and progress documentation
  • Support commissioning activities and coordination with testing agencies
  • Assist with project closeout activities including punchlists, as-builts, warranties, and O&M documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in construction management, ownerโ€™s representation, or quality control/quality assurance
  • Working knowledge of commercial or healthcare construction practices
  • Familiarity with applicable building, safety, environmental, and life-safety codes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with Government and contractor personnel
  • Proficiency with construction management and standard office software
Education
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education, licensure, certifications, and experience will be considered

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, and access construction personnel hoists. Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and partially completed work areas. Regular exposure to construction environments, including moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, airborne dust, fumes, outdoor weather conditions, and potential electrical hazards. Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing 10โ€“25 pounds.


Communication, Language, and Software Skills

  • Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
  • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills
