Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Lead the design and development of complex software systems. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and team members. Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and software design.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technical Architect, Scrum Master, Java Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing and deploying applications across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments; Optimizing application performance and cross-platform compatibility across operating systems; Designing scalable systems leveraging application, data, and infrastructure architecture; Designing and implementing microservices architecture using Docker and Apache Kafka; Scaling and enabling efficient communications in distributed systems; Developing enterprise applications and integrating them with services using J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Java; Developing web applications, user-friendly interfaces, and cross-browser compatibility using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React, SASS, Angular, Bootstrap, and NodeJS; Deploying and managing applications in the cloud using AWS cloud services; Managing code repositories using Git to maintain efficient version control and continuous integration with Jenkins; Performing data manipulation and analysis to optimize data flow and storage solutions using SQL, XML, JSON, and Apache Zookeeper; Implementing monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance and troubleshoot issues using Splunk and Dynatrace; Developing and integrating services for communication between systems using REST and SOAP protocols; Conducting automated, blackbox, functional, manual, performance, regression, smoke, system integration, and unit testing using Selenium, Cucumber, Junit, and Dynatrace; Adapting processes to meet project requirements and improve delivery efficiency using agile, waterfall, and hybrid SDLC methodologies.
