Job description

Entry-Level Aerial Coax Splicer

Locations: NJ, PA, DE, WV & MD

No Experience Required. Paid Training Provided.

Buckley Cable Construction is hiring Entry-Level Aerial Coax Splicers to help upgrade aerial cable networks throughout the Mid-Atlantic. We will teach you the telecommunications skills. What we can't teach is a strong work ethic, reliability, comfort working outdoors, and the ability to perform physical work at heights. Roofers, landscapers, tree workers, solar installers, utility workers, construction laborers, and other outdoor trades are encouraged to apply.

Before Applying

This position may be a good fit if you:

✅ Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
✅ Can repeatedly lift and carry heavy equipment
✅ Are comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet
✅ Have experience using basic hand tools

If you're looking for office work, this position is not for you.

Training Is Challenging

We believe in setting clear expectations.

This is not a participation-trophy training program.

All new hires must successfully complete our mandatory two-week paid training program before entering the field independently.

Training is physically demanding, standards are high, and feedback is direct.

Not everyone who starts training successfully completes it.

The people who succeed are typically those who:

  • Show up every day
  • Arrive on time
  • Follow instructions
  • Accept coaching professionally
  • Maintain a strong work ethic
  • Continue improving when the work becomes difficult

What You'll Do

  • Upgrade aerial coax cable infrastructure
  • Work from bucket trucks and utility poles
  • Use hand tools and power tools daily
  • Replace and upgrade network equipment
  • Follow work assignments and safety procedures

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

  • Weekly pay
  • Paid training
  • Full-time, year-round work
  • Overtime opportunities
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Company-provided safety equipment
  • Company-issued take-home bucket truck after training

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb poles and ladders
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Monday through Friday
