ReStore Associate – Front of HousePRIMARY PURPOSE: Is responsible for working with other staff and volunteers to manage all aspects of day-to-day retail and donation operations of the Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County ReStore. This is a 40-hour per week full-time position – Tuesday thru Saturday.Key Responsibilities:Work as a team with staff and volunteers, following the lead and direction of senior staffGreet and assist customers on the sales floorWork to maintain an orderly and safe sales floorAnswer customer questions and provide assistance when needed in bringing their purchases to the checkout areaAssist customers in loading their purchases onto their vehicles while adhering to store loading and safety guidelinesManage time well, such as timely arrival for shift, reporting hours, taking appropriate breaks, and managing donation flow urgencyUse tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and dollies to move merchandiseFollow safety requirements and promptly report or address unsafe conditions with other staff and volunteersBe able to communicate all ReStore and Habitat for Humanity policies and goals to the publicBe prepared to adapt to various job duties throughout the day – duties will overlap with other positionsOther duties as assigned, including taking a leadership role as needed Positive attitude and the ability to work with a diverse customer and donor base.1-2 years' experience in retail, home improvement, or related industryMust be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation and have the ability to bend, reach and be on your feet for extended periods of timeThe ability to work independently in an organized fashion, in a fast-paced environment, and effectively manage multiple tasksExcellent organizational skills, paying close attention to detailBilingual, Spanish speaking a plusRequirementsFull-time 40 hours/weekWorkweek - Tuesday thru Friday 9:30am-5:30pm / Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pmStarting Hourly Rate: $18.00Benefits:401(k) 3% employer matchHealth insurance (85% employer paid)Dental / Vision insurance plans availablePaid time offPaid holidays
