Job Overview

As a CMM Programmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our aerospace components. You will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform complex measurements and inspections. Your expertise in PC-DMIS and ATOS (GOM) software will be essential in creating efficient measurement routines, analyzing data, and maintaining our high standards of quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS software for a wide range of aerospace components and assemblies
  • Create and maintain measurement routines for both contact and non-contact measurement systems
  • Utilize ATOS (GOM) software for 3D scanning and analysis of complex geometries
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to determine appropriate measurement strategies
  • Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Analyze measurement data and provide feedback to manufacturing teams for process improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve measurement-related issues
  • Maintain CMM equipment, including regular calibration and performance verification
  • Collaborate with quality engineers, manufacturing teams, and customers to address quality concerns
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices in metrology
  • Train and mentor junior team members on CMM operation and programming techniques
