Associate Product Designer (Bothell, WA)

As an Associate Product Designer working on Philips Oral Healthcare's solutions, you are part of a global multidisciplinary design team and will be responsible for designing oral care products and experiences that will improve people's lives. You will assume product design responsibilities from ideation, concept, specification to seeing the design through to production and launch.

Your role:

  • Translate commercial briefs into user needs, pain points, and design opportunities; monitor product trends and competitive landscape to inform direction.
  • Define design problems, success criteria, and requirements; generate ideas through sketching and ideation, and evolve them into cohesive concepts (form, color, material, finish, interaction).
  • Partner with engineering, interaction, packaging, and global design teams to ensure usability, feasibility, and alignment from concept through production.
  • Create high-quality renderings, presentations, and specifications (e.g., 3D CAD, CMF) and effectively communicate concepts to stakeholders.
  • Review and validate designs through critiques, engineering builds, and samples; ensure final outputs meet design intent, maintain documentation, and follow development processes.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired previous Internship or Project experience in an area related to Product Design or Industrial Design.
  • Your skills include:
    • A strong affinity for designing with form, color, material, and finishing.
    • The ability to collaborate effectively with other functions to solve problems and achieve goals under tight timelines.
    • Proficient with 3D Computer aided design (CAD) software such as Rhino, CREO, SolidWorks or similar, and rendering tools such as Key Shot, or similar.
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Product or Industrial Design, Vocational Education in Design OR equivalent 4 years of above related experience.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills. You are creative and empathetic, enabling you to create appropriate solutions that solve business and customer needs. You have a positive outlook, are hardworking and adaptable.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $100,000 to $158,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Bothell, WA.
