Job description

Clark Hill PLC is hiring an Accounts Receivable ("A/R") Specialist for the Birmingham, MI office. The A/R Specialist is responsible for (i) the independent resolution of tasks and activities related to collecting and servicing of client accounts; (ii) the monitoring and maintenance of a portfolio of accounts; (iii) researching client information to support routine collection duties; and (iv) generating outstanding receivable, and ledger reports in order to resolve specific client concerns relating to billing and payment activity. The A/R Specialist ensures that monthly reports are completed by firm deadlines and makes recommendations for the processing of invoices balances pursuant to firm policies.
The successful candidate will have an associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related field. In lieu of an accounting or business degree, the candidate may have college level accounting classes with at least three (5) years or more of related professional experience in a legal collection or customer service environment. Familiarity with FDCPA collection restrictions is preferred. Proficiency with MS Office is required. Candidates must be self-directed and thrive in a busy, time-sensitive environment. This position requires flexibility to work additional hours, especially in the fourth quarter of the year. This position is eligible for overtime pay. Once the successful candidate is trained, this position is hybrid.
The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $24.00 - $31.25 hourly/$50,000 - $65,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, Clark Hill offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
