Christmas Lighting Installer — Seasonal (Full-Time Potential)

Humbug Lighting NE Florida  |  Duval, St. Johns, Clay, and Nassau Counties
Seasonal position with full-time potential

We are a locally owned and operated outdoor lighting company serving Northeast Florida, and we are hiring seasonal Christmas lighting installers for the upcoming holiday season. This is not a job for someone who does just enough to get by. It is a job for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready, and holds themselves to a standard most people don't bother with.
If that's you, keep reading.

What the Season Looks Like

The Christmas lighting install season runs approximately 60 to 75 install days. You work six days a week, Monday through Saturday, with hours running from 7:00 AM to dusk. Saturdays are a target half day when the job schedule and quality standards allow it. The season has a clear end date, and the pay reflects the commitment.

A typical week during the season:

•       Morning crew meeting at the warehouse at 7:45 AM sharp
•       Two-person install crews working residential and commercial properties across Northeast Florida
•       Walk every property before leaving — every light confirmed on, every clip checked, job site clean
•       Photos and a short video submitted to close out every job before end of day
•       Nightly quality control drive-bys to catch issues before the customer does
•       One weekend on-call rotation per month for maintenance calls

What We Pay

Most jobs pay 7% of the job total per technician. On a standard two-person crew, you and your partner split the job percentage. The faster you work and the better the quality, the more you earn. Multi-crew or multi-day jobs pay a competitive hourly rate. Performance bonuses are available for jobs completed ahead of schedule without sacrificing quality.

What We're Looking For

Required:

•       Valid driver's license
•       Clean background check
•       Able to lift 50 lb or more consistently
•       Comfortable working at heights on ladders — a second person is always present, no one goes up alone

Nice to have, but not required:

•       Holiday lighting or outdoor installation experience
•       Comfort with hand tools and ladder safety
•       Experience in a team-based field environment

We hire for character first and teach technique. If you don't have lighting experience but you show up on time, work hard, and do things right, we want to talk to you.

Full-Time Potential

Installers who perform well during the season are considered first for year-round positions as they open. This is a real path, not a promise made to get applications.

A Few Things to Know Before You Apply

•       We do not install customer-owned lights. We own the product and we stand behind it.
•       We do not walk on tile roofs. We install only where a ladder or boom lift can safely reach.
•       We do not cut corners to move faster. Quality comes first, every time.
•       Every job is treated as if it were our own home. That is the standard, and it applies to everyone on the crew.

How to Apply
