WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Join T&O's Corporate Real Estate Tech team as a Senior Software Developer. You'll design and deploy AI-driven solutions that extract insights from enterprise data and documents, enabling better decision-making across the organization. Working with modern development frameworks and tools, you'll build full-stack applications, maintain real estate data hubs, agentic solutions & interactive application systems, and mentor junior and intermediate developers. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation through advanced problem-solving while establishing best practices that enhance operational efficiency across RBC.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent technology initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner using industry-standard project management methodologies

  • Design and deploy AI-driven solutions that extract insights from RBC's data and documents, enabling better decision-making across the enterprise using modern development frameworks and tools
  • Build full-stack applications with user-friendly interfaces and reliable backend services that deliver robust solutions across multiple platforms and use cases
  • Maintain and optimize critical business applications, including financial cost allocation and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and smooth day-to-day operations through automation and continuous improvement
  • Establish secure data connections between enterprise systems and downstream applications while implementing security best practices and governance standards to protect sensitive information
  • Develop and test software solutions, frameworks, and tools of moderate to advanced complexity, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards
  • Lead software development tasks and projects requiring advanced problem-solving and decision-making, navigating ambiguity and driving innovation
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, fostering skill development and ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Create clear technical documentation, manage system reliability exercises, and maintain knowledge resources that enable the team to operate effectively

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

Successfully completed undergraduate degree in STEM (Computer Science preferred) coupled with demonstrated 3+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity

  • Proficiency in modern development frameworks and tools; experience with full-stack application development (front-end and backend)
  • Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making abilities with experience working independently on moderately complex technical issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to document technical solutions and present findings to cross-functional teams
  • Experience collaborating across functional teams in matrix environments to design and implement technical solutions

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AI-driven solutions and data analytics applications
  • Knowledge of financial systems, working with data hubs, or cost allocation platforms
  • Experience with secure data governance, system integration, and enterprise architecture
