Job description

Overview

The IT Department is seeking a motivated Web Developer with strong integration experience, capable of supporting both Shopify and WordPress platforms in a dataheavy, SSISdriven environment. This position will be part of an agile team working on a project backlog for custom applications and websites. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Development using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.Net, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and WordPress.
  • Participate as a member of an Agile team to complete support requests and enhancement projects as well as technical analysis, design, development, unit testing, patch testing, and QA testing.
  • Follow software development standards and change control process.
  • Must have the ability to write readable, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Must embrace a service-oriented mentality with a high sense of ownership in fielding requests and resolving issues.
  • Creating reliable configuration and technical system documentation for the purposes of knowledge transfer, improving software quality, and minimizing support costs.
  • Must have the ability to integrate with third-party platforms and Web services/APIs.
  • Working with vendors, as necessary, to implement solutions and complete projects.
  • Performing installations and upgrades, providing support, and troubleshooting system issues during office hours and after hours, as required by the business.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required.
  • Five or more years of related experience required.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience and/or training with relational database required.
  • Microsoft SQL Sever database development experience required.
  • SQL Server Integration Services experience required.
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) experience required.
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API) experience required.
  • Experience with Shopify or other B2B eCommerce systems preferred.
  • WordPress. .Net and node.js experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications.
  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development is a plus.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) is a plus.
