Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary

Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking Godโ€™s wisdom as we search for a Christ following and dependable Instructional Aide to support our classroom teacher. This role involves working closely with young students to reinforce foundational academic skills while helping foster a positive, faith-based classroom environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher with daily lessons in reading, writing, math, and other subjects.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce instruction.
  • Provide classroom supervision during activities, transitions, and recess.
  • Help prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources.
  • Support classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
  • Assist with grading simple assignments and tracking student progress.
  • Participate in prayer, Bible lessons, chapel and biblical lesson integration.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with the teacher and school staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience working with elementary aged children preferred.
  • Must be comfortable leading students in a small group center.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility and a nurturing attitude toward young learners.
  • Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
  • Evidence of a teachable heart, humility, and a gentle spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others.


Spiritual Qualifications:

  • Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.
  • Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church.
  • Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.
  • Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.
  • Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.

Job Data:

  • Hours: Full-time at 187 contract days.
  • Salary: Starts at $12.00 per hour. Actual salary depends on experience.
  • Benefits: Paid time off and retirement 401k plan.
  • Tuition Discount: 50% discount on tuition. Does not include fees.
