Job Summary:

Responsible for a variety of general maintenance repairs and facilities upkeep. Duties involve keeping facility infrastructure and spaces in the best possible condition for staff and customers.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The statements on this job description are intended to describe the general nature of level of work being performed by incumbents. They are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required by all incumbents.

  • Performs all essential job functions assigned to a Support Services Specialist 1

  • Troubleshoot lighting repairs, identify proper lighting needs, and replacement of bulbs

  • Clean and maintain chandelier lighting which requires working on high ladders

  • Maintain exterior through painting of poles, curbs, equipment, parking lines

  • Infrastructure repairs such as door repair, ceiling tile replacement, ATM A/C replacement

  • Grounds maintenance, debris removal, shrubbery and tree trimming

  • Equipment and furniture repair

  • Other related duties as assigned

SKILLS

  • Ability to apply basic fixes to building systems

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge of hand and power tool; ability to utilize power tools properly and safely

  • Ability to work with electronic devices such as iPhone, iPad and PCs, to close work orders and/or send pictures of facility issues

  • Maintain a Valid State Issued Driver's License

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must work indoor and outdoor year-round

  • Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of equipment and tools

  • Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors

  • Must be able to work in high places

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • 1-year facilities maintenance experience or equivalent construction, handyman experience
