Overview:

As a Central Fill Pharmacy Manager, you have a critical role at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. In addition to leading and directing your Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, you are accountable for the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. CVS Central Fill pharmacies manage, fulfill, and ship prescriptions to retail stores in a closed-door setting. These pharmacies fulfill 10k-40k prescriptions per week utilizing multiple retail systems that are specialized for Central Fill operations.

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Central Fill pharmacy, including oversight of 20+ employees and 15+ non-resident pharmacy licenses. The Pharmacy Manager will be tasked with managing development & performance of their team and setting goals for streamlined operations of their facility. This includes ensuring that hiring goals are met and maintained to budget, resources are in place for fulfillment of budgeted prescriptions, prescription cost to fill is monitored, orders are delivered to stores on time and with efficiency, and compliance with the regulatory requirements of all state licenses is maintained. He/she is expected to think outside the box and partner with the corporate team to meet these goals. In addition, the Central Fill Pharmacy Manager will complete pharmacist workflow tasks such as verification.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience directly leading a team to meet, and exceed, business outcomes
  • 5+ years' experience building a high performing team
  • Demonstrated track record of success in high-volume pharmacy management
  • Ability to diagnose operational challenges and deliver impactful solutions in real time
  • Ability to hold teams accountable in a fair, supportive and equitable manner
  • Ability to effectively create goals and prioritize key action plans

  • Communication Skills: 1) Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues, 2) Actively listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Mathematical Reasoning: The ability to use math to solve a problem, such as calculating day's supply of a prescription
  • Problem Resolution: 1) Is able to judge when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; recognizing there is a problem, 2) Choosing the best course of action when faced with a complex situation with several available options
  • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
