Job description

Ruhan General Contracting is looking to hire a full time carpenter or carpenter’s helper/apprentice to join our remodeling crew.

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to learn the trade, work with experienced carpenters, and be part of a growing construction company. We do additions, renovations, decks, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, framing, trim work, and general remodeling.

Responsibilities include jobsite setup and cleanup, carrying materials, assisting carpenters, demo, protection, basic framing and trim prep, and learning how to complete work the right way.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, shows up on time, works hard, follows directions, and has a good attitude. Experience is helpful but not required for the right person.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Inspect and identify defects or issues in structures and recommend solutions.
  • Assist with site preparation and cleanup before and after construction work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter in residential and/or commercial construction.
