Job Type: FT Days

Schedule: Our clinics are typically open M-F from 8 am - 5 pm.

Qualifications and requirements

A Medical Assistant (MA) who excels in this role:

  • Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider or nurse.
  • Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Administers patient injections and takes patients' vitals.
  • Obtains authorization for consultations, referrals, procedures, and ABNs per policies.
  • Evaluates chart documentation for coding purposes, applies official guidelines, and determines and applies appropriate codes. Document all charges on the fee ticket to ensure 100% capture of all charges.
