Gamer's Choice is a team of passionate gamers, creators, and innovators based in Queens, New York. What began as a small local shop has grown into one of the leading destinations for Trading Card Game players and collectors around the world. We're driven by a shared love for gaming and community, offering both an engaging online experience and a vibrant in-store atmosphere. Our mission is to be the ultimate home for fans to connect, compete, and celebrate the games they love. While Yu-Gi-Oh! has always been our foundation, we're expanding into exciting new titles like Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Disney Lorcana. Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.
Role: A customer-focused team member who keeps the store running smoothly by maintaining clean, organized product displays, restocking inventory, assisting customers with TCG and gaming purchases, and supporting daily retail operations
Location: 34-09 Queens Blvd, Long Island City, 11101
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, Full-Time
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
  • Greet customers and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with product inquiries, selections, and purchases.
  • Provide recommendations and upsell products when appropriate.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.

Store Maintenance
  • Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Restock shelves and maintain product displays.
  • Maintain knowledge of promotions, store policies, and product offerings.

Warehouse & Fulfillment Support
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise shipments.
  • Restock products and monitor inventory levels.
  • Pick, pack, and ship online orders accurately and efficiently when needed.
  • Help keep warehouse areas safe, clean, and organized.

Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
  • Support onboarding of new employees as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in both retail and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to adapt and take on new responsibilities as the business grows.

Results:
  • Customers feel supported and informed, with consistently positive interactions and accurate product guidance.
  • Store stays organized and well-stocked, with shelves replenished and product areas maintained throughout the day.
  • Transactions are handled quickly and accurately, minimizing errors and wait times.
  • Operational tasks are completed reliably, including restocking, lifting and moving inventory, and assisting teammates during busy periods.
  • Sales goals are supported through proactive customer engagement and strong product knowledge.
