Job description

Role: Database Administrator
Location: Chandler - Arizona
Duration: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities
  • MongoDB Administration
  • Install configure upgrade and maintain MongoDB databases across environments Dev Test Prod Ive an opxperience Viva Engage Hello Everuirements Viva Engage
  • Monitor MongoDB performance replication and availability
  • Perform regular backups and restore operations logical and physical and validate recovery procedures
  • Implement security best practices including authentication authorization and rolebased access
  • Troubleshoot MongoDB issues related to performance connectivity replication and storage
  • Collaborate with application teams to optimize schema design and queries
  • MySQL Administration
  • Install configure and maintain MySQL databases
  • Execute database backups restores and disaster recovery procedures Backup ands in MySQL Viva Learning
  • Monitor MySQL performance capacity and availability
  • Perform database tuning indexing and query optimization
  • Manage users privileges and data security
  • Handle upgrades patching and routine maintenance tasks
  • Backup Restore DR Management
  • Design and maintain backup strategies for MongoDB and MySQL
  • Conduct regular restore testing to ensure data recoverability
  • Maintain documentation for backup restore and DR processes
  • Support audits and compliance requirements related to data protection
  • Monitoring Support
  • Monitor database health and proactively address issues
  • Participate in incident management root cause analysis and preventive actions
  • Provide oncall or production support as required
  • Maintain operational documentation and SOPs

Required Skills Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in MongoDB andor MySQL database administration
  • Strong knowledge of backup restore and recovery strategies
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
  • Handson experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production databases
  • Familiarity with LinuxUnix environments
  • Basic scripting knowledge Shell Python or similar is a plus
  • Strong problemsolving and communication skills

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloudmanaged databases eg MongoDB Atlas AWS RDS
  • Exposure to high availability replication and disaster recovery setups
  • Knowledge of compliance and security best practices
