Position Description
Pay Grade Manager 5
Oversees bookstore service provider's overall plans and operations to facilitate the best customer service experience and optimal contract performance for students, faculty and staff.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Contract manager for the bookstore services awarded service provider ensuring optimal performance of contract terms and achievement of bookstore related strategic college goals
*Responsible for overall operational management, communications and continuous improvement to build the infrastructure of the Eagle Advantage program and collaborating with operations and academic departments to ensure overall efficiencies
*Collaborate with bookstore service provider to support customer service inquiries and provide solutions for student and faculty course materials needs
*Coordinates the presentation and adoption of course materials resources to faculty that drive affordability and modern learning using digital and open education courseware made available by publishers and bookstore service providers
*Prepares, audit and monitor reports that analyzes data from student acquisitions, course material correlations, point of sale reports, faculty book adoptions, opt out rates, course materials utilization, commission revenue, provider profit margins and other relevant performance metrics
*Establish and lead a Campus Stores Quality Assurance Committee to serve as a mechanism to ensure effective communication between the service provider, students, faculty and staff providing customer feedback and suggestions for Campus Stores improvement and additional services
*Conduct service provider contract performance review meetings shall be annually unless more frequent meetings are requested by either party to this Agreement. The results of this review will be used to augment service and to develop solutions for improvement
*Complete a comprehensive assessment "Scorecard" of Campus Store Services, personnel performance, product selection, Campus Store environment, and corporate support. The results of the performance review and scorecard shall be used to augment service and to develop solutions for improvement
Directs College wide student engagement and marketing efforts to support early student acquisition of course materials to support classroom success; support marketing and licensed brand engagement for general merchandise and apparel
Provide project management oversight to onboard and transition awarded service providers through the coordination of cross-functional stakeholders to meet deadlines, deliverables and required outcomes
Ensure College and service provider compliance with local, state and federal regulations including FERPA and Higher Education Opportunity Act
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail required
Communication, entrepreneurial and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to effectively analyze data and utilize reporting and other database software
Ability to communicate orally in writing in a clear and concise manner
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Qualifications
Associates Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Five or more years of experience in college bookstore operations, retail environment, equitable access programs, publishing, or education
Preferences
Bachelor's degree in Business
