Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and managing subcontractors for various types of commercial and industrial construction projects. Site Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and to a high level of quality, coordinating directly with subcontractors, clients and the Blue Rock project management team. We are looking for a Superintendent that is willing to travel out of state as needed for projects but also cover project locations in the South Jersey Area, Bucks County, and Philadelphia when needed.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough knowledge and experience with commercial and industrial construction
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to read and understand contracts
  • Effectively manage field changes and resolve field issues in a timely manner
  • Well organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Show initiative and motivation
  • Works well with others, but can also tackle duties independently with confidence
  • Proficiency in using logic to problem solve in situations where immediate guidance isn’t available
  • Ability to be a leader
  • Punctuality
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and standards on a job site
  • Travel to project locations

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • At least 5 years of Superintendent/Foreman experience on commercial projects
  • BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
  • OSHA Certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong technical and communication skills are critical
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Maxwell Pro Contractor & Microsoft Office (preferred)
