Compensation: $19.37 / hour
Description
Be the trusted connection between patients and answers - join our team as a Phlebotomist making a meaningful impact in rural healthcare.
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:30 pm

As a Phlebotomist, you play a vital role in supporting timely diagnosis and treatment by ensuring accurate specimen collection, testing, and documentation. You'll work alongside a collaborative care team to provide safe, high-quality laboratory services that strengthen access to care in communities where healthcare resources may be limited. Your attention to detail and compassionate approach help create a positive experience for every patient we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process blood and urine specimens in accordance with CLIA and OSHA standards
  • Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks, and butterfly collections across the lifespan (pediatric through geriatric patients)
  • Verify patient information, accurately document in NextGen, and clearly explain procedures to patients
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and transportation of specimens
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Monitor laboratory supplies and coordinate ordering as needed
  • Perform quality control procedures and basic equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate effectively with providers and care team members to support quality patient care
  • Maintain required logs, documentation, and MSDS records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School/GED required
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• At least two (2) years' experience required
• Ability to draw blood on pediatric through geriatric patients
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
• Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate required
• Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in phlebotomy in lieu of certificate
