We are looking for a Senior Blazor UI/UX Developer to support our client, a federal agency modernizing a mission-critical document publishing platform.
US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.
Candidates may work remotely from anywhere in the United States. Occasional travel to Washington, DC may be required.

The Opportunity
TECKpert is seeking Blazor Web Application Developers to support our client, a federal agency, on a multi-year modernization program that is replacing a legacy document publishing system with a modern Blazor-based web platform. The platform is a document-centric authoring and editing environment supporting the production of legislative and regulatory documents for both print and digital delivery.
This engagement has two openings on the same program: a Mid-Level Blazor UI Developer (minimum 5 years of web application development experience) and a Senior Blazor UI/UX Developer (minimum 7 years of complex web application development experience). Both positions are Firm-Fixed-Price contract engagements with a base year and two option years, with primary work performed remotely and occasional trips to the client's Washington, DC facility.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop dynamic HTML rendering based on XML document structures using Blazor Server and C#
  • Implement event-driven UI behavior integrated with C# application logic on the Blazor Server rendering model
  • Build and maintain JavaScript interoperability for browser DOM interaction (JS interop) supporting rich in-browser editing behavior
  • Design and implement XML-to-HTML translation strategies and structured document rendering (senior role leads these strategy decisions)
  • Write secure, maintainable front-end code that complies with federal software security and accessibility standards
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support automated build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and iterative delivery ceremonies with the client's technical team
  • Author and maintain technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Support user acceptance testing, defect triage, and post-deployment issue resolution
  • Coordinate with business owners, editors, and other developers to translate publishing requirements into working software

Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $85 per hour or $170,000 per year. The base contract runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027, with two option years extending through August 31, 2029. The role is approximately 40 hours per week.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate has the following experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of web application development experience (7 years for senior candidates on complex web application projects)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in production environments
  • Demonstrated production experience with Blazor Server, including component design, state management, and server-side rendering behavior
  • Experience translating XML document structures into rendered HTML for browser display
  • Strong JavaScript interoperability experience (JS interop) for browser DOM manipulation from Blazor Server components
  • Experience with secure software development practices consistent with federal software security standards
  • At least one active or historical certification from the qualifying list (see Preferred Qualifications), with current relevant experience to support any historical certification
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to pass an independent background check prior to client submission
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
  • Microsoft .NET certification (any current .NET credential)
  • CIW HTML5 Specialist or CIW JavaScript Specialist
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
  • Experience with structured XML schemas such as DITA, DocBook, or comparable document-centric XML frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and Git-based CI/CD workflows
  • Prior work supporting federal, state, or public-sector document publishing platforms
  • Familiarity with legislative or regulatory document workflows
