Position: DevOps Engineer (Full Time)

Location: Remote / NYC -East Coast

Position Reports to: SVP, Engineering

TelmarHelixa: Where AI Meets Audience Insight and Media Planning Intelligence

At TelmarHelixa, we don't just analyze data-we unlock the potential behind it. We're the fusion of Telmar, a pioneer in global insights and media planning, and Helixa, a cutting-edge AI platform that turns billions of digital signals into real, actionable audience intelligence.

We empower brands, agencies, and media platforms globally to discover, understand, and reach the people who matter most-through an integrated platform that combines traditional research, psychographics, social behavior, and media strategy.

Why Work With Us?

Tech with Purpose: AI and next-gen data tools to uncover deep audience insights that fuels analysis, research and planning globally.

Global Impact: Influence marketing and media decisions for world-renowned brands and media agencies.

Smart, Driven Team: Work alongside thinkers, builders, and data storytellers who are redefining what data intelligence looks like.

Fast-Paced Innovation: We're agile, future-focused, and constantly evolving-just like the audiences we analyze.

What We Are Looking For:

As TelmarHelixa continues its growth, we are expanding our DevOps organization with an engineer who thrives in ownership-driven roles. This position requires not just technical excellence but also the ability to take charge of projects without handholding.

You will be responsible for optimizing, scaling, and implementing modernized digital infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Git. You will also work closely with engineering and security teams to build and enforce a security-first approach (least privilege access), troubleshoot complex scaling issues across the organization, and help shape the technical roadmap to ensure scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.

The position will report directly to the SVP of Engineering, and the role requires strong AWS technical skills and solid communication skills for collaboration with the rest of the development team, IT Product Management, and QA teams as we continue to grow TelmarHelixa infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead DevOps tasks and initiatives end-to-end, from design through delivery, without requiring step-by-step oversight.
  • Optimize, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Enhance and support existing and new CI/CD pipelines with Git, driving automation for builds, tests, deployments, and rollbacks.
  • Collaborate with security teams to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities, enforce best practices, and support compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues across distributed systems.
  • Establish and evolve monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for 24x7x365 visibility into system health and performance.
  • Partner with business and technology leadership to improvise and innovate solutions, shaping the long-term infrastructure roadmap.
  • Mentor junior team members in AWS, promote a culture of ownership, and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Serve as a key escalation point for outages, performance concerns, and critical system events.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
  • Deep expertise with all-things AWS (EC2, ElasticSearch, S3, IAM, Bedrock, EKS, etc).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Solid knowledge of high-availability architectures, load balancing, failover, and security best practices.
  • Ability to own initiatives, take charge of delivery, and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially security and development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Data logging and alerting (SIEM)
    • Data ETL and Scheduling tools, such as Airflow, Glue, etc
  • Understanding data lineage and processing procedures
  • Experience and Understanding of Compliance and Legal concepts, such as CCPA/CPRA
  • Understanding around modern AI Concepts, such as LLM and ML processes and tools

If you're looking to be part of a growing family of enthusiastic and hard-working individuals, we'd love to hear from you!
