Associate — Corporate (Healthcare & Life Sciences Licensing)
Location: New York

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a highly qualified Corporate Associate with life sciences licensing experience to join its Healthcare & Life Sciences Licensing Practice in the New York office. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge licensing matters in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on licensing, collaboration, and strategic transactions in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

  • Draft and negotiate complex licensing and commercial agreements, including research, development, and commercialization deals.

  • Collaborate with partners and cross-disciplinary teams on transactions involving healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and biotech innovators.

  • Provide strategic guidance on intellectual property, regulatory, and commercial issues affecting licensing arrangements.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of life sciences licensing experience.

  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field, or prior biopharmaceutical industry experience, strongly preferred.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Strong academic credentials and the ability to manage complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
