About the Role

The JAAW Group LLC is seeking BSTEX Instructors and Response Cell Specialists to plan, execute, and support Battle Staff Training Exercises (BSTEXs) across all MISTC locations. This position requires deep operational credibility and the ability to replicate adversary and higher headquarters actions in dynamic, multi-domain training environments.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational orders, annexes, and warfighting function requirements to develop MESLs and BSTEX training packages
  • Plan and execute BSTEX events per the TEEP, producing LOIs, schedules, and C2 architecture diagrams
  • Man Response Cells replicating higher headquarters, adjacent units, and OPFOR functions during exercises
  • Conduct ROC drills, Combined Arms Rehearsals (CARs), and OpOrder briefs
  • Deliver Watch-stander, Watch Officer, and Watch Chief training during BSTEX events
  • Develop and maintain the Performance Evaluation Checklist (PECL) and deliver formal performance briefs to students
  • Record, analyze, and deliver written and oral AARs following each BSTEX event
  • Recommend changes to FMF and Reserve Combat SOPs based on lessons learned
  • Integrate scenario complexity across fires, intelligence, logistics, maneuver, and C2 functions
  • Feed lessons learned and student critiques into MISTC Curriculum Review Boards

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of combat operations experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • MCISD/SAT-E certification
  • BSTEX facilitation experience
  • Watch Officer/Watch Chief familiarization
  • Expertise in scenario development and performance evaluation
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Military Operations, National Security, or a related field


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JADOCS, AFATDS, GCCS, C2PC/JTCW, JBC-P/MMC-S, or WinTAK/ATAK
  • Prior BSTEX or MISTC exercise support experience
  • OCONUS exercise support experience
