Job description

Launch Your Career with a Firm That's Changing the Game

Justice Law Corporation is a plaintiff-side employment law firm making a real difference. We've recovered over half a billion dollars for clients harmed by wage theft-and we're just getting started. With our established presence in Southern California, we're looking for a driven advocate to join our Pasadena team.

If you're a newly bar-eligible attorney ready to grow your skills, work on meaningful cases, and contribute to a mission-driven team, we want to hear from you.

The Role

As a Post-Bar Law Clerk, you'll work directly with our experienced employment law attorneys on real cases that matter. You'll handle substantive legal work-not busywork-and get the mentorship you need to develop into the attorney you want to become.

What You'll Do

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Propound and respond to written discovery
  • Prepare meet-and-confer correspondence
  • Conduct client and witness interviews
  • Participate in mediations and case strategy discussions
  • Review and organize case documents
  • Contribute to case analysis and legal research
  • Develop core litigation skills under attorney guidance

What We Offer

Real Mentorship Work alongside experienced employment law attorneys-you'll have direct access to partners and counsel, regular feedback, and the chance to build strong foundational litigation skills.

A Clear Path Forward Exceptional candidates will be offered a full-time attorney position upon passing the California Bar exam.

Competitive Compensation $30-$50/hour, depending on experience

A Supportive Team Environment Join a collaborative firm culture that values integrity, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Meaningful Work Every case you work on directly impacts someone's life. You'll see the results of your efforts and know your contributions matter.

About You

Required:

  • Recently taken (or about to take) the California State Bar exam
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail
  • Genuine passion for employment law and client advocacy

Preferred:

  • Previous internship or clerkship experience
  • Familiarity with employment law concepts, including California-specific employment law
  • Experience with legal research tools and document management systems

Position Details

  • Type: Full-Time, Post-Bar Law Clerk
  • Location: Pasadena, CA (In-Person)
  • Compensation: $30-$50/hour, depending on experience and bar status
  • Start Date: Flexible, based on bar passage

How to Apply

Ready to make an impact? We'd love to meet you.

Please submit:

  1. Cover letter (tell us why you're passionate about employment law and why JLC is the right fit for you)
  2. Resume
  3. Writing sample (5-10 pages; brief, memo, or motion preferred)
