This is a highly visible position offering the opportunity to oversee the organization's financial operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to support strategic business decisions. What You'll Do

As Controller, you'll oversee the company's accounting and financial operations, including:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheets
  • Coordinate quarterly compilations and annual audits
  • Manage daily cash flow and banking relationships
  • Oversee lines of credit and lender reporting
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Monitor customer credit limits and receivables
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR functions
  • Oversee workers' compensation, insurance, licensing, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain capital asset records
  • Coordinate inventory reporting and reconciliations
  • Manage accounting software and internal financial systems
  • Assist with board reporting and corporate filings
  • Serve as a strategic business partner by providing financial insight to ownership and management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Experience with audits, payroll, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, grain, or commodity-based industries is a plus
