Controller Metro Hospitality

Full-Time | On-Site (Arizona Preferred) | $60,000$80,000

Metro Hospitality is a rapidly expanding hotel ownership and management group operating extended-stay properties across Arizonawith multiple new acquisitions underway. We are seeking a high-caliber Controller who brings strong hospitality accounting expertise and experience supporting CFO-level strategic finance work, including PPMs (Private Placement Memorandums), capital raises, banking relationships, and investor reporting.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Controller will oversee multi-entity financial reporting while also helping drive critical corporate initiatives, including preparation of PPMs, investor materials, pro formas, banking coordination, corporate structuring, and internal controls for audit or future IPO readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Finance & Capital Growth

Support CEO and leadership in preparing PPMs for fundraising.

Develop investor-ready financial materials, pitch decks, and pro formas.

Engage with banks and lenders on valuations, financing, and due diligence.

Build financial models and forecasting tools for acquisitions and expansion.

Collaborate with legal teams on operating agreements, entity structuring, and compliance.

Financial Reporting & Controls

Oversee consolidated financial statements across all hotel entities.

Strengthen internal controls for audit readiness and public-company standards.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Review property-level financials and partner with GMs to improve performance.

Operational Accounting Leadership

Oversee cash flow, AP/AR accuracy, and multi-entity general ledger integrity.

Ensure standardized financial processes across properties.

Support acquisition onboarding and transition accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA preferred.

5+ years of hospitality accounting or Controller experience.

Skilled in multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.

Experience working with banks, CFOs, legal teams, and investors.

Hands-on experience supporting PPMs, capital raises, and lender reporting.

Proficient with QuickBooks, Sage, PMS systems such as (HotelKey or Guesty), and AP automation tools.

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Background in hospitality, real estate, private equity, or tech finance.

Exposure to audit preparation, corporate restructuring, or investor relations.

Experience supporting IPO readiness or large-scale financial growth.

CMA, MBA, or additional financial certifications.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Strong hospitality accounting and strategic finance experience.

Has supported CFOs on fundraising, PPMs, or bank financing projects.

Able to build pro formas, financial models, and investor packages independently.

Thrives in a high-growth, multi-property environment.
